Congratulations to Sanzhar Korganbayev, Ph.D. student in our group, who has won the IDEA League Student Grant 2021 for research period in RWTH Aachen, Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, group of Dr.-Ing. Andreas Ritter.
Activities of this group and Philips Research is a combination of academic, clinical, and industrial high-level expertise in cancer treatment based on electroporation. They investigate both types of electroporation (irreversible electroporation and electrochemotherapy) performing state-of-the-art theoretical and experimental studies.
The work of Sanzhar will be focused on fiber optic-based tissue measurements during electroporation, and its possible combinations with laser ablation techniques.
