Recently, our colleague Annalisa Orrico, who has been doing her Master’s thesis in our group, has been accepted as a Ph.D. student to Politecnico di Milano, Mechanical Engineering Department. Since now she will be working with us as a Ph.D. student!
In our group, Annalisa has been studying numerical simulation and LabVIEW development of temperature-driven software for controlling laser ablation therapies in biological tissue.
She has already published several works with our group:
1) Towards temperature-controlled laser ablation based on fiber Bragg grating array temperature measurements
2) Closed-Loop Temperature Control Based on Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors for Laser Ablation of Hepatic Tissue
Her thesis can be found here:
Development of a temperature-based feedback control system for the laser ablation treatments
Congratulations and good luck, Annalisa!
